There are five new flights in all, with two from DHL’s Central Hub in Hong Kong and one flight each from the express delivery and logistics company’s hubs in Bangkok, Thailand, Singapore and Taipei. “These five new direct trans-Pacific flights to New York further strengthen out ability to serve U.S. customers importing goods from Asia Pacific,” notes Fred Beljaars, the executive vice president of Operations for DHL Express in the U.S., “such as those in the highly competitive fashion and apparel industries in New York City.” These flights are aimed at providing enhanced next day express service to the U.S. with the carriers, International Document Service and Worldwide Priority Express.
In addition to its new East Coast service, DHL currently has daily flights from the Asia Pacific region to its Los Angeles International Gateway and main U.S. air and ground hub in Wilmington, OH.
