Shareholders of CNF Inc. approved a name change and realignment of logistics assets under the name Con-way Inc. The renamed entity will trade on the New York Stock Exchange as CNW.

The $4.2 billion freight transportation and logistics company has businesses in less-than-truckload, full truckload and expedited freight services. It also has brokerage, airfreight forwarding, logistics, warehousing, supply chain management and trailer manufacturing operations.

Con-way Freight will operate regional and inter-regional less-than-truckload (LTL) services. The former LTL company names -- Con-Way Western Express, Con-Way Central Express and Con-Way Southern Express – will be converted to a single identity and logo under Con-way Freight. Con-Way Canada Express will continue to operate as it did before the rebranding.

Menlo Worldwide will continue to operate Menlo Worldwide and Vector SCM (a joint venture with General Motors Corp.) under their existing names.

The expedited transportation operation Con-way NOW and the Con-way Full Load brokerage units will be renamed Con-way Expedite and Brokerage. The Con-way Air forwarding operation will become Con-way Forwarding.

Con-way Truckload will retain its name.
