Transcepta has expertise in electronic invoicing which will allow Dolphin customers to leverage their current accounting system to participate in on-line, electronic invoicing, says the company. Dolphin's process tracking system for accounts payable automates the payable process in SAP and provides comprehensive data on transactions, business documents, and status for financial reporting. Their partnership will enable SAP users to receive invoices from vendors in electronic form directly into SAP. It will also streamline the accounts payable process to provide instant visibility for every invoice from receipt to payment.

In a separate, unrelated announcement, Precision Software, a division of QAD Inc., announced an expansion of its Precision Traxi3 which provides enterprise scope solution for both production and non-production environments. The new Web-based supply chain visibility portal and a new shipping portal enable companies to reduce inventories and streamline shipping practices by making more effective decisions about the movement of goods and materials within the boundaries of the company and across the supply chain, says the company.

Traxi3 offers multi-carrier parcel and freight shipping, global trade management and freight audit, tracking and reporting capabilities. "We're excited about the multi-carrier shipping capabilities to manage our imports and exports as well as the ad hoc shipping requirements of our corporate staff for samplees and sales materials," says user Connie Glogowski, senior project manager at Pioneer Balloon Company.
