Robocom Systems has announced RFID compliance in its RIMS warehouse management system (WMS). RIMS WMS will generate unique Electronic Product Code (ePC) identifiers for pallets, cases, and/or individual units shipped from a warehouse using RIMS.

Using the Compliance Labeling module, a specially designed “utility” for ePC generation, the RIMS Toolkit (for expansion of data base fields) and an RFID tag printer, RIMS will create RFID tags as required.

Additionally, Robocom is currently working with several customers to define requirements to incorporate vendor-applied or RIMS-created RFID tags with RIMS functionality. This will allow RIMS warehouses to read ePCs during receiving, shipment validation, etc.
