MIAMI, March 21, 2003 – New Generation Computing Inc. (NGC) today announced that Maidenform Inc. has selected e-SPS, NGC’s Web-based sourcing and production system, to streamline and manage the global production of intimate apparel.

Scheduled for installation at the company’s Bayonne, N.J., headquarters this spring, e-SPS will provide Maidenform’s sourcing department and vendors in the Far East with immediate access to production data and the ability to track and manage the entire production process from start to finish via the Internet. Specifically, e-SPS will enable Maidenform to manage all product-development tasks, distribute product specifications to vendors and receive real-time updates on the status of its worldwide apparel production. Prior to selecting e-SPS, Maidenform successfully deployed TPM, NGC’s shop-floor control and manufacturing execution system.

“We selected NGC’s e-SPS in response to our need to better track and manage the global sourcing of our products, a process that now represents about 70 percent of our business and continues to grow,” said Chuck Codling, Maidenform’s Chief Information Officer. “We expect that NGC’s e-SPS will enable us to get our products to market faster, significantly reduce the number of international air shipments and trips, and help us to better plan and monitor a wide spectrum of activities.”

NGC’s e-SPS consists of 11 software modules: e-Product Development, e-RFQ’s & Bids, e-Pre Production, e-Production Tracking, e-Collaboration, e-Pack, e-Shipment Tracking, e-Exceptions, e-Quality, e-Executive Information Systems and Reporting, and Event Tracking and Management System. Current e-SPS users include Wilsons Leather, Kellwood Company,Russell Corp. and S. Schwab Company.
