Hawthorne Retires from Hytrol Conveyor

Dec. 15, 2009
Bill Hawthorne has announced he will retire from his post as vice president of sales for Hytrol Conveyor Co., effective Dec. 31.

While he will retire from his full-time position, Hawthorne has agreed to offer consulting services to Hytrol through the end of 2010.

“Bill is a dedicated, loyal employee who has served Hytrol as an employee for more than 16 years and as a distributor for 24 years before that,” reads a statement from the company. “He has been very instrumental in helping to develop the distributor network, expand Hytrol's presence in the marketplace and grow our market share in the material handling industry. He is a strong distributor advocate and has enhanced Hytrol's focus to become more customer oriented. We wish Bill and Peggy the best during their retirement years and know that they will continue to be successful.”

Hawthorne and his wife Peggy will move to Atlanta to be closer to their daughter and son-in-law.
