CargoBooker is part of Descartes GF-X Exchange, which enables forwarders to access cargo carrier information to make electronic bookings 24 hours a day, seven days a week, says the company. The newly announced service works through a Web-based access point for air cargo carrier information such as product, flight and truck detail, routing, capacity availability, and rates, says Descartes. The focus is on bringing together carriers, logistics intermediaries, and their customers in a shared-services environment using standardized business processes, says Vincent Ryan, VP of Global Freight Exchange at Descartes.

CargoBooker is part of the Descartes Global Logistics Network and, as a result, can connect to leading transportation providers and intermediaries. The entire shipment lifecycle, from bookings, air waybills, house waybills, status messages, and customs filings is visible.
