MONTREAL, Sept. 2 - TECSYS Inc. (TSX: TCS), a leading Supply Chain Management (SCM) software provider announced today that it has signed an agreement with BouClair Inc. to implement its EliteSeries application suite. TECSYS' enterprise suite of distribution software will provide BouClair with the technological edge and strategic processes to meet and exceed the company's complex distribution requirements.

"EliteSeries will provide us with immediate access to inventory information that we never had before. As we continue to expand our locations, standardizing on quality business procedures is a must. Having the right products at the right time on the floor in our stores for our customers is what got us to this point in the first place," says Stephen Gottlieb, Vice President of Technology & Logistics Services at BouClair Inc. "TECSYS provides us with that - in-depth functionality and comprehensive business intelligence tools. Plus we were impressed by the quality of their customer base and reference visits to similar operations."

When BouClair, Canada's leader in home decorating, fabrics and notions, continued to expand, it became apparent that the 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse was just not large enough. The company also measured its capabilities against its new corporate vision and direction and realized its current system and business processes needed to be reassessed. Dealing with consumer products, BouClair concluded that the ongoing demand for new products and services could only be met with a new technology strategy. The company issued a request for proposal (RFP) and searched the enterprise software market. After intense analysis, TECSYS' EliteSeries was selected for its comprehensive functionality and robustness.

BouClair is moving to a new 105,000 sq. ft. facility including offices, early in the New Year. The company needs a solution that can manage its ever- changing 50,000 SKUs, offer real-time visibility, and provide accurate real- time inventory information, including cubing and product sizing for container pre-selection. EliteSeries Enterprise Performance Management tools, part of an integrated suite of applications, will allow BouClair to view and manage its operation and business processes from end to end.

Peter Brereton, TECSYS' President and Co-CEO, commented on the new win, "Businesses today are realizing the importance of merging their corporate culture and vision with the right technology. This combination is allowing companies to leapfrog their competition and provide levels of customer service and responsiveness never experienced before." Brereton also noted, "The total cost of ownership of our leading enterprise distribution management application suite is very low. We continue to provide our customers with flexible yet powerful solutions to manage and grow their businesses."

EliteSeries will be implemented in its new location in Pointe Claire, Quebec. With its UNIX platform running the Oracle relational database, EliteSeries will allow the company to increase warehouse efficiency, as well as obtain real-time inventory availability. Total inventory visibility will give BouClair's executives the critical information that they need to manage the business, make strategic decisions, and increase customer service. BouClair Inc. is scheduled to go live with EliteSeries by January of 2004.
