Conveyor Orders, Shipments Declined in January
Booked orders for January 2010 dropped 7% from December 2009 but rose 1% from January 2009, according to the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA).
The 12-month index for booked orders of conveyor equipment did not change from December 2009’s index.
Shipments in January 2010 were down 11% from December 2009, and the January 2010 index represents a decrease of 20% from the January 2009 index. The 12-month index for shipments declined 2% from December 2009.
