Balluff Sharpshooter

The Sharpshooter adds 360-degree part rotation recognition, enhanced output logic functionality, customized inspection ability, position detection and dimension verification.

It also features an updated version of its ConVis software. The ConVis 1.2 version supports all sensors in the Sharpshooter line and provides DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) for remotely assigning IP addresses and rotatable tool regions.

Balluff says the Sharpshooter can be configured and used like a smart sensor, allowing easy set up and use. The company calls it the first vision-based sensor designed to serve as an extension of existing sensor-based error-proofing systems.
