CLARK Material Handling Company was presented with the Kentucky Governor’s Safety & Health Award for the fifth year in a row at a ceremony held at CLARK’s Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Louisville, KY last month. CLARK’s Louisville facility was recognized for working more than 579,000 hours without a lost time accident. These accident-free hours have been logged since November 2002.

The Kentucky Labor Cabinet’s Governor’s Health & Safety Award Program is designed to promote safety and health awareness in workplaces throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky, encourage sound work practices and recognize those companies that have achieved significant reductions in injuries and illnesses in their workplaces.

“Everyone at CLARK has safety as their top priority,” said Dennis Lawrence, CLARK’s President & CEO. “As a result, we see lower employee turnover, higher morale, reduced absenteeism, improved productivity and better quality trucks and parts.”
