Boston Rack, Base Manufacturing Join to Form Elite Storage Solutions
BOSTON— Boston Rack International, an integrator of commercial racking systems, and Base Manufacturing, a manufacturer of structural and roll-formed racking, have merged to form Elite Storage Solutions.
Peter Murphy of Boston Rack has been named chairman and CEO of Elite Storage Solutions, and Steven South of Base Manufacturing will serve as president and COO. Boston Rack, led by Murphy, and Base Manufacturing, led by South, will operate as subsidiaries of the newly formed company.
The merger, according to Murphy, gives both companies greater reach into the warehouse material handling arena and an ability to provide greater value to customers. “In today's market, only the strong will survive, and our companies have the products and services not only to be a survivor but also to be an industry leader," adds South.
The two companies were represented by Newbury Piret & Co., a New England investment banking firm.
