APL Logistics DC Reaches Two Safety Milestones
Less than two months ago, an APL Logistics facility in Tracy, Calif., celebrated 1 million work hours without an OSHA-recordable injury, and on Sept. 14, the distribution center (DC) hit another milestone: four years without a worker injury.
“Hitting these safety goals is a huge achievement, even in a company with a safety record that’s as good as ours,” says Marty Gordon, APL Logistics’ director of risk management. “We’re extremely proud of everyone at Tracy, and our hats are off to general manager Bill Hayes, his managers, supervisors and their teams for making safety such a priority.”
