AS/RS
Daifuku, an automated material handling solutions innovator, is showcasing its tallest high-rack, high-density automated storage and retrieval (AS/RS) technology during CeMAT, May 27-31, 2008 in Hannover, Germany.
The 131 ft./40 meter high-rack, high-density AS/RS is designed with double-deep palette storage to provide increased storage density without the need to expand a facility’s footprint. Like all Daifuku AS/RS equipment, the high-rack AS/RS delivers high speed, quiet operation and energy efficiency. Each time the brakes are applied, a current-recovery system takes the energy generated and converts it into electricity, which is fed back into the power grid.
In addition to the high-rack, Daifuku offers complete lines of
unit load, mini load and rack-
supported building AS/RS
equipment. For more information about these AS/RS products visit

During CeMAT, Daifuku will also demonstrate DAGUARD, a maintenance and analysis tool that has been available for the European market since the beginning of the year. Besides reminding operators of upcoming maintenance work, DAGUARD also offers numerous analysis functions that ensure optimum use of automated warehouses over the entire life cycle. For instance, the system continuously calculates the projected lifespan of individual components. If the lifespan drops below one year, the system informs the operator. DAGUARD also reports whenever individual line components are no longer performing up to desired levels. The DAGUARD system is also available in Japan.
