Mumbai Group to Supply Freight Management System

Maritime logistics provider J.M. Baxi will implement Mumbai-India-based Kale Consultants' freight management system.

J. M. Baxi & Co., one of India’s leading maritime logistics providers, has selected Kale Consultants Ltd.'s Freight Management Solution. The solution will encompass various functions of freight forwarding and third party logistics including sales and customer relationship management (CRM), multimodal export and import management, international trade documentation, tracking and integration with third-party applications.

With a national network of over 55 offices at both major and minor ports on the East and West coast of India, J. M. Baxi & Co. is the largest professionally managed maritime logistics service provider in the country.

J. M. Baxi noted deep domain knowledge, complete understanding of requirements and the comfort level with Kale’s Consultants added value to their choice. The easy user interface and the industry standard process flow will make it easier for J. M. Baxi’s staff to get acquainted with the application, thereby improving the process efficiencies and minimising errors in the process.

Kale’s FMS-Freight Management System is a web-based application which helps freight forwarders to improve operational efficiency, says Kale. With the help of the integrated Sales CRM module and operations module, each division can get accurate information about their shipments with one point of data entry, it says. This eventually facilitates customers getting timely updates of shipment status and response from customer service.
