Expeditors Investigated by Brazil for Anti-Competitive Behavior
Expeditors International of Washington, an international freight forwarding and logistics company, and its Brazilian subsidiary, Expeditors Internacional do Brasil, are under investigation by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice.
Expeditors has received an administrative proceeding (AP) from the Brazilian government, alleging anti-competitive behavior on the part of Expeditors and one of its employees. If Expeditors is found to have committed an infringement against Brazil’s anti-competition laws, the company may incur material fines and penalties.
Expeditors says it plans to vigorously defend itself against the allegations.
