Blockbuster Rolls Out Execution Management Solution

Blockbuster Inc., a provider of retail and rental movie and game entertainment, has completed its rollout of the Execution Management solution from RedPrairie in 500 stores. Blockbuster completed the rollout in 10 weeks, and plans to implement the solution in its remaining stores.

Blockbuster is using Execution Management and Workforce Management to provide store-specific communication, gather store data quickly and accurately, and provide store on-time compliance data to all levels of the organization. The two integrated solutions are designed to provide a greater degree of visibility and consistency.

The integration of the two RedPrairie solutions “means our district managers can focus more time on coaching store associates and driving sales not only in day-to-day operations, but during specific promotions as well,” explains Jeff Gloor, Blockbuster’s VP of operations.
