Qualcomm and RAIR Collaborate on HOS Compliance Service

QualcommInc., a provider of integrated wireless systems and services to transportation and logistics companies, and RAIR Technologies are collaborating to enhance the value of Qualcomm Hours of Service (HOS) by offering more robust auditing and analysis of HOS data, which can be captured electronically or on paper.

Fleets using Qualcomm’s HOS now have more options to manage their compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) hours of service regulations. With this enhanced hours of service compliance offering, fleets can send their paper logs to RAIR, which scans and provides them back to the fleet with additional electronic data that can then be audited and compared to Qualcomm’s positioning data to ensure hours of service compliance reporting.

The RAIR solution is designed for fleets using both electronic and paper logs as it can compare electronic positioning data provided by Qualcomm to data provided by drivers in their paper logs, adding an additional degree of accuracy to hours of service reporting. RAIR also can process driver vehicle inspection report information and support driver notification for violations.
