A. Duie Pyle Operation Recognized
The Westfield, MA, warehouse facility of A. Duie Pyle, received the "Outstanding Warehouse Service Performance for 2008 Award” from The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.
The award was presented at The Scotts Annual Distribution Conference. In addition, Scotts presented its "2008 Outstanding On-Time Truckload Service Award" to A. Duie Pyle's Transport Services Group, which provides truckload services throughout the Northeast with a 150-unit fleet of vans. Scotts presented the award to A. Duie Pyle in the asset-based truckload carrier category. To qualify, carriers must handle more than 1,000 truckload shipments during Scotts' fiscal year.
The Scotts award for outstanding service performance was presented to the Westfield Warehouse facility for A. Duie Pyle's willingness to go above and beyond Scotts' service expectations. "A. Duie Pyle has been supporting Scotts in the Northeast with outstanding warehousing and transportation services for many years, and has been an important element of our supply chain success in this challenging market," said Jim Lovino, vice president, global distribution and logistics for The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.
A. Duie Pyle has an asset-based warehousing capability including six facilities and approximately two million sq. ft. of space. An additional A. Duie Pyle warehouse facility under construction in Westfield, MA is scheduled for completion in early 2009.
