Estes First TSA-Compliant LTL Trucker
This makes Estes one of the first LTL carriers to meet the requirements, according to the company. All drivers and key personnel who have access to freight being transported to commercial and cargo aircraft have been trained and tested according to TSA's specifications.
The company must retain and retest at scheduled intervals, it points out. Actual compliance practices include detailed visual cargo inspections, vehicles that are locked and monitored from pickup to delivery to the air carrier, and a verification process that ensures freight is tendered at a designated shipper site directly from an authorized representative of the shipper.
