US Airways Orders Airbus Widebodies
In a deal valued at $10 billion, US Airways has ordered a total of 92 airbus aircraft. It confirmed an order for 22 of the A350 XWB—Extra Wide Body—design with a cruising range of 8,000 nautical miles (9,200 miles). The A350 XWB is a competitor to the Boeing 777 and 787.
According to industry reports, US Airways already operates the largest fleet of A320 aircraft.
