Intermodal Group Earnings Up 8.6%
Hub Group's fourth quarter income topped $13 million, a 54%
increase over the same period in 2005. Its operating margin for the
quarter increased to 5.2% due in part to "yield enhancement
efforts," improved operational efficiencies and growth in drayage
and truck brokerage.
Intermodal revenue for the fourth quarter was up 1.5% to $307.1
million, including full-quarter results from Comtrak.
For the full year, Hub Group said costs and expenses had continued
to rise, up 11.3% in 2006. This, it said, was due in part to the
Comtrak acquisition.
