United Airlines Increases Asia Pacific Cargo Service

Service is being strengthened by 40 additional weekly, year-round flights. Among the additions is brand new service between the airline’s Washington Dulles hub and Tokyo Narita. It replaces Tokyo service United had previously offered from John F. Kennedy International (JFK). Beginning on October 28, 2006 the service will be on a Boeing 777 aircraft.

Related to these changes in schedule, pending governmental approval, United will sell its New York to London route authority to Delta Air Lines. When the sale is completed, United will end its JFK to London Heathrow service at the end of October 2006 and Delta will use the route authority to fly from JFK to London Gatwick.
