NEMF Opens More Terminals
New England Motor Freight (NEMF) announced the opening of two new terminals in Virginia. The additions bring the total number of terminals in the NEMF network to 40.
The new facilities are located in Richmond and Roanoke, VA and expand the capabilities of the mid-Atlantic region with 18 doors in Roanoke and a 54-door terminal in Richmond.
“The commitment of our company to have customer satisfaction as our number one priority is the driving force behind this expansion. We recognized the need and acted to better service an area that is growing and is a critical part of our network,” stated Thomas Connery COO, NEMF.
The new Roanoke Terminal is located on 4.5 acres with 18-dock doors and 1,200 sq ft office space. The terminal has a 50% fenced and paved yard. The Richmond terminal, on a large 13.6-acre site, has 54-dock doors, and is 100% fenced.
NEMF, based in Elizabeth, NJ, is a family-owned less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier with terminals throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest, as well as Florida, Puerto Rico and Canada. It is a member of The Shevell Group of Companies, which also includes Carrier Industries (third-party logistics, dedicated fleet, warehousing), Eastern Freight Ways (asset-based truckload carrier), Apex Logistics (brokerage, nationwide truckload) and NEMF World Transport (non-vessel operating common carrier).
