New Service to the Baltic
Samskip announced it is starting a regular container service from France's port of Dunkirk to St Petersburg, Russia, and Riga in Lithuania every eight-and-a-half days. The service will become weekly from January 2010.
Samskip will load on Mannlines ships under the name TBL (Trans Baltica Lines). Delivery will be possible to points within Russia. Samskip will also offer services to the following ports: Oslo, Norway; Varberg, Sweden; Aarhus, Denmark; Helsinki, Kotka and Hamina, Finland; Riga, Talinn and Klaipeda in the Baltic States; and Gdynia, Poland.
The service proposes using 20ft, 40ft, 40ft HC, 40ft PW, 45ft, flat rack and 40ft reefer containers.
