Moulton Logistics Plans New DC Near Charleston
Moulton Logistics Management, a provider of order fulfillment, call center and integrated logistics services, will locate its new distribution and logistics facility in Berkeley County, South Carolina. The $25 million investment is expected to generate 500 new jobs in the next five years.
The new East Coast facility will help reduce freight costs and transit times, which should indirectly lead to a reduction in customer service costs and ultimately higher customer satisfaction, notes Patrick Moulton, head of new business development for Moulton Logistics. “Our new facility in Berkeley County not only allows us to ship across the Atlantic, it also puts us closer to customers on the East Coast.” The Port of Charleston in particular will be an important keys to Moulton’s success on the East Coast, he adds.
Moulton Logistics, based in Los Angeles, will locate a new distribution center near Charleston in Berkeley County. This strategic location will allow Moulton Logistics to provide access to markets in Europe and across the Atlantic Ocean. The new facility will also better service the company’s East Coast customers by reducing delivery costs and transit times.
Moulton Logistics Management plans to begin hiring by the end of the year.
