Horizon Logistics and BPL Merge Operations

Financial terms were not disclosed in the merger of operations of Horizon Logistics and Beacon Performance Logistics. The two will operate as Horizon Logistics.

“The merger of our businesses will provide the New England marketplace with a unique solution that few, if any, other companies in the region possess. This ‘new’ entity will have complete multi-modality – the ability to serve our customers logistics needs across land, air and sea,” said Joseph Ryan, former Horizon Logistics Chief Executive Officer

Horizon Logistics will offer a total range of logistics services including fulfillment, warehousing, distribution, cross-docking, and transportation services, according to George Schindler, president of BPL. Schindler will serve as president of Horizon Logistics and oversee day-to-day operations for the new entity.
