Freight Quote Marketplace Launches in the Cloud

GR8FR8 Inc. (pronounced “Great Freight”), a newly formed provider of  Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, has launched its website GR8FR8.com. The website is designed to connect shippers to carriers directly, without intermediaries, and allows for free-market quoting, real-time communication, direct-tendering, online booking, TMS functionality, and executive level reporting.

This cloud-based platform is designed to allow shippers to post shipments, to have multiple carriers offer real-time quotes on them, and then allow them to tender and track the shipment—all online. Shippers can also direct-tender shipments to their preferred carriers to access the integrated transportation management system (TMS) functionality within the site.

GR8FR8 does not use pre-loaded negotiated rates. For a flat rate, shippers can get pricing information from carriers who are looking for new business. Since GR8FR8.com is not an auction site, carriers can quote higher or lower using the FR8mart application, and communicate with shippers using live, private communication.

The interface of GR8FR8.com has been in development for nearly two years by transportation professionals and software experts. The company is based in Grand Rapids, Mich.
