Exel Direct Adds Two Facilities
Exel Direct's two newest facilities will provide retail replenishment and residential delivery solutions to a cross-section of customers in the New Jersey and Maryland areas. In both the Edson, NJ and Hanover, MD facilities, Exel Direct teams will manage inbound and outbound inventory.
On the inbound side, this includes unloading trailers, inventory management, and staging, inspecting and repairing product prior to delivery. On the outbound side, Exel Direct delivery teams will load trailers and execute home and business deliveries to the end users’ specifications.
The Edison, NJ site is a 116,000 square foot facility with 20 docks and will operate 18 delivery trucks averaging 400 deliveries per day.
The Hanover, MD facility is 40,000 square feet, with nine docks and nine delivery trucks averaging 125 deliveries per day.
