Estes Upgrades Onboard Pickup and Delivery System
Freight transportation provider Estes has upgraded its wireless onboard pickup and delivery system. The new system provides detailed real-time data to terminals and drivers, enabling them to plan the pickup and delivery process as well as respond to changing customer needs.
By receiving pickup information sooner, Estes will be able to process freight more promptly and efficiently from origin terminals and streamline the entire transportation and delivery process.
The newly upgraded system includes a data warehouse and processes data up to 200 times faster. In addition, a user-friendly business intelligence interface provides operational management with reporting data as it occurs. An interactive map feature then allows them to analyze the most efficient routes, and in many cases, reduce fuel consumption.
