CSCMP Upgrades Online Career Center
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) has upgraded its Career Center, an online career service for companies seeking supply chain management talent and individuals looking for jobs.
CSCMP’s Career Center offers employers a targeted global audience of more than 40,000 supply chain management professionals from which to attract applicants. New features include a streamlined process for reviewing résumés, a wider selection of job-posting and résumé-search packages, and a job-posting distribution system that provides access to multiple job boards.
“With the economy rebounding, we’re beginning to see an increase in job activity in the logistics and supply chain management disciplines,” says Rick Blasgen, CSCMP’s president and CEO. “It’s time for companies to evaluate their hiring practices so they can quickly and effectively identify the right candidates for their supply chain needs.” The goal, Blasgen says, is to help organizations hire skilled supply chain professionals who will make a positive impact on the bottom line.
For individuals searching for jobs, the benefits of CSCMP’s Career Center include the ability to create a personal and confidential account, post professional résumés at no charge, search job announcements by multiple criteria, apply to job listings online, and receive e-mail alerts when jobs match specific criteria. New features include résumé advice and career coaching as well as free library access. Jobseekers can now also add a “preferred status” tag to their résumés, which gives them additional exposure.
