American in Moscow
American Airlines Cargo announced a new cargo service to Moscow from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.
The regular, non-stop service to Russia's Domodedovo International Airport uses a Boeing 777 freighter. The service will help meet demand for US commodities trough American's worldwide network and interline partners, says Dave Brooks, president of American Airlines Cargo.
The new service operates six days a week with eastbound flights leaving Chicago every day but Sunday and westbound flights leaving Moscow daily except Monday. The Chicago flights leave at 5:15 p.m. and arrive next day in Moscow at 12:15 p.m. Return flights depart Moscow at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in Chicago at 4:25 p.m. the same day.
Russia's Domodedovo airport, which is located 14 miles southeast of Moscow, is privately owned and operated.
