Kenworth Receives EPA Clean Air Award
Kenworth's medium-duty hybrids and its clean power technologies were recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency Clean Air Excellence Award.
Truck manufacturer Kenworth received Clean Air Technology awards from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its T270 Class 6 and T370 Class 7 diesel-electric hybrids, its T800 liquified natural gas (LNG) trucks and the Kenworth Clean Power no-idle system.
“The EPA Clean Air Excellence Award is a tremendous honor for Kenworth Truck Company and its employees,” said Bill Kozek, Kenworth general manager and PACCAR vice president. “Kenworth is a leader of the trucking industry’s efforts to provide practical technologies, which help customers enhance fuel economy and reduce emissions.”

It is an industry leader in providing fuel-saving technology solutions that help increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The company’s dedication to the green fleet includes aerodynamic trucks, medium duty diesel-electric hybrids, liquefied natural gas trucks, and the Kenworth Clean Power no-idle system. In addition, Kenworth is the recipient of the 2008 J.D. Power and Associates awards for Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Over the Road and Vocational Segment Class 8 trucks.
