Global Forwarder Supports Inttra eInvoice
DB Schenker will be working with Inttra on an eInvoice implementation. Inttra is an e-commerce platform provider for the ocean freight industry.
Inttra eInvoice is an electronic invoicing, dispute resolution and payment processing solution that the company says enables freight forwarders to have the potential to more efficiently receive, process and pay carrier invoices and cut average transaction processing costs by more than half.
"We welcome taking the next step towards automating and optimizing invoicing, resolution and payment processes with ocean carriers that can potentially translate into significant operational improvements for all industry participants," said Dr. Wolfgang Draeger, senior vice president, Corporate Product Management, Ocean Freight at DB Schenker Logistics.
In other news, CMA CGM, the world's third largest container shipping company, announced that it is piloting Inttra's Web-based eInvoice solution with select customers in North America.
The company also announced Kuehne + Nagel is collaborating with Inttra for eInvoice implementation.
