Agility Expands in Eastern Europe

Agility announced the opening of a fully owned operating entity in Ukraine. The new office replaces the Agility’s previous joint-venture partner for Ukraine-GeoLogistics Ukraine Limited.

Ukraine is situated strategically at the crossroads of East-West and North-South trade routes and offers enormous potential for growth given its extensive transport infrastructure and its position as an ideal platform for manufacturing and exporting both to Russia and the EU, said Agility. The country head office is located in Kiev, the country’s capital and main business hub.

“Agility’s Area North East in Europe continues on the path of a new organization, complementing Agility’s footprint in the Eastern European markets,” said Alex Drozdov, managing director of Area North East Europe (includes Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine). “Thus, we offer comprehensive solutions to our customers in the region and beyond, functioning as a logistics gateway into Central Asia.”

Agility has three business divisions: Agility Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) is headquartered in Switzerland and provides supply chain solutions to commercial customers large and small. Agility Defense & Government Services (DGS), based in Washington, offers logistics services to governments, relief agencies and international institutions worldwide. Agility Infrastructure group companies primarily focus on opportunities in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, providing infrastructure support in the areas of industrial real estate, customs optimization, and airline services.
