Echo Global Logistics Acquires Freight Management Software Company
Echo Global
Logistics, Inc., a privately held provider of transportation
management services, acquired SelecTrans, LLC, a freight management
software provider. Both companies are based in Chicago.
Founded in 2004, SelecTrans is a freight management software
provider for shippers, carriers, third-party logistics providers
and transportation intermediaries. SelecTrans' web-based software,
"ShipKit," allows shippers and third-party logistics providers to
integrate with carriers and manage transportation processes
including the optimization of price and service as well as shipment
tracking, electronic invoicing and payment processing.
"We are thrilled to be a part of Echo," said Daryl Chol of
SelecTrans. "As a high-growth technology company, Echo is the
perfect home for the SelecTrans products and expertise."
