HK Systems-Irista launches RFID compliance solution

HK Systems-Irista has launched its RFID Compliance Appliance solution, which provides a way for retail suppliers to meet the radio frequency identification (RFID) mandates of the Department of Defense, Wal-Mart, Target and other major retailers.

As a turnkey system, the RFID Compliance Appliance solution is a scaleable offering that manages a variety of case and pallet "tag at ship" processes. Comprised of pre-integrated RFID software, material handling equipment, controls and RFID peripherals, the RFID Compliance Appliance solution offers a standard tagging "appliance" designed for rapid implementation.

The base RFID Compliance Appliance solution supports pallet setup, case tag programming and verification, and pallet assembly as required for initial pilots. EPC case and pallet information can be transmitted to third-party ERP/WMS business applications.

Standard features include RFID software, PC workstation, antennas, case and pallet label printers, and a gravity feed conveyor. Automation options are available to sustain higher volume requirements as tagging mandates proliferate. The RFID Compliance Appliance solution runs on Windows or Linux operating systems, and supports the major RFID readers and label printers. All component parts work with readers and tags following EPCglobal class 0+ and class 1 protocols.
