Dematic opens European Technology Center
Dematic, supplier of logistics systems for the factory, warehouse and the distribution center, has opened a new Technology Center in Europe. The new site, located near Frankfurt, Germany, is a logistics solution demonstration facility. It features multiple integrated material handling solutions including goods to person order selection, mixed case palletizing, automated storage buffers, and load sequencing.
The technologies featured include Modular Conveyor System, Dematic Multishuttle, Automated Mixed Case Palletizing (AMCAP), ErgoPAL (Ergonomic operator assisted palletizing), pallet conveyor and DC Director (WCS Suite of software).
Typical business critical material flow scenarios can be demonstrated at the Technology Center. The layout enables continuous material flows from goods storage, sequenced picking, order consolidation and buffering, right through to fully or semi-automated palletizing. Dematic also has Technology Centers in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Sydney, Australia.
