Driver groups said the drivers were losing €1 million ($1.48) per day due to delays caused when customs workers began taking holidays and sick days en-masse to put teeth into their wage dispute.
Reports indicate the protest by customs workers is just one more of a series of public-sector employee actions seeking to bring wage level in line with the private sector.
At one point, the truckers threatened to blockade Warsaw to protest delays caused by the actions of the customs workers.
