Tandy Leather Factory, Inc., recently released a news release publicizing it's enrollment in the

U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. By participating in this worldwide supply-chain security initiative, Tandy Leather Factory says it benefits from a more secure supply chain for its suppliers and customers, a reduction in the number of cargo inspections and reduced border wait times.

After starting with seven major importers immediately following 9/11, today over 7,400 companies are enrolled in the program. These companies include U.S. importers, customs brokers, terminal operators, carriers as well as foreign manufacturers.

Tandy Leather Factory, Inc., headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, is a specialty retailer and wholesale distributor of leather, leatherworking tools, buckles and adornments for belts, leather dyes and finishes, saddle and tack hardware, and do-it-yourself kits.
