Spring Lake, Michigan — TGW-ERMANCO INC., a leading supplier of material handling systems and equipment, will begin manufacturing ULC (Unit Load Conveyor) in the Spring Lake, Michigan facility in the first quarter of 2006. ULC is a rugged unit load conveyor that has been manufactured by TGW in Austria and used throughout the world for more than 25 years.
ULC chain and chain-driven live roller conveyors transport and accumulate loads up to 3,300 pounds. ULC operates with proven reliability, even in freezers, and is backed by a two-year warranty. Chain conveyors have overlapping chains at transfer points for smooth transfer from conveyor to conveyor, and easy-to-use chain tensioners. The chain tensioner is adjusted without the use of tools and has a patented clutch to prevent over-tightening. ULC transfers utilize a lifting mechanism that moves horizontally as well as vertically, for gentle handling of pallets. Engineering, application, spare parts, and service for ULC will be based in the Spring Lake, Michigan facility.
TGW-ERMANCO will feature a ULC demonstration loop at the TGW-ERMANCO Booth #2202 at NA 2006 in March.
