FedEx SupplyChain’s Critical Inventory Logistics service now enables customers to track the status of orders, shipments and inventory levels by simply logging into a web application on fedex.com. For added flexibility, order placement and status messaging are also available through electronic data interchange (EDI) and delivered in a common global message format.

FedEx SupplyChain has also deployed a common warehouse management system, enabling more consistency in capabilities and experience around the world. Users don’t have to navigate multiple systems or applications. A single, global access point takes the complexity and worry out of managing global logistics.

Customers can centrally locate their most important inventory at stocking facilities throughout the world, including 24-hour locations. Many of these stocking facilities are located near hospitals, business centers and other strategic locations—enabling customers’ field representatives to pick up critical parts or devices on a moment’s notice or ship them using one of FedEx’s transportation options.
