ATLANTA, Dec. 9, 2008—There is now an online resource for companies looking for supply chain recommendations to insulate themselves from challenges caused by today’s economic environment. The program, Supply Chain Prescription for Recovery, from Manhattan Associates Inc., identifies six "prescriptions" to combat current supply chain issues, along with a set of expected business benefits.

"We having been working with our customer base to solve various supply chain problems during this challenging time and found many of the issues to be universal," said Eddie Capel, executive vice president for product management and customer support, Manhattan Associates. "A broad spectrum of companies will benefit from these solutions."

The first prescription, Suppress Your Inventory Appetite to Run Lean, was posted on Dec. 4 and focuses on the need to maintain service levels with less inventory, now that fuel prices are down and credit for new inventory is largely unavailable. Prescription #2 will be posted online on Dec. 18, with the remaining four coming every two weeks.
