Based on a private meeting with the CEO of Deutsche Post, Morgan Stanley reports the German logistics giant can still move forward with its acquisition of Airborne and transfer ownership of Airborne's aircraft to third parties who would operate them under contract for DHL. This, says the Morgan Stanley report "Regulatory Hurdles Unlikely to Stop ABF-DHL Combo" is a common practice in the US. Aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) contracts were employed by the US Postal Service and are presently used at Menlo Worldwide Forwarding (Emery Worldwide).
