Traditionally, voice applications require customers to purchase a proprietary wireless wearable computer dedicated to the voice application. With Voxware’s voice application fully integrated and operational on LXE’s rugged MX3X, customers will be able to garner the benefits of both a voice application and a more traditional auto-id application without having to purchase separate computers for each application.

“We are always looking for new technologies that provide practical business benefits for our customers and that leverage their investment in LXE’s solutions,” says Jim Childress, president and general manager of LXE. “With Voxware, we are able to offer our customers a very competitive solution that adds the dimension of voice interaction to the capabilities they already receive from LXE.”

“Customers making a strategic technology investment always look for flexibility and freedom of choice,” says Tom Drury, Voxware CEO. “With the certification of LXE’s MX3X for production use as a VoiceLogistics platform, we provide customers with a versatile solution that maximizes the benefits they realize from their investment in voice technology and the MX3X system.”

VoiceLogistics significantly reduces cost in the warehouse by enabling workers to utilize audio
commands and voice responses to perform a wide array of logistics tasks – such as picking, receiving, put away, and replenishment – more efficiently and effectively. The MX3X is LXE’s unique horizontal half-screen, Windows® CE .NET / Intel® X-Scale®-based, rugged wireless handheld computer. With multiple screen options including color touchscreen, a QWERTY keyboard, and an integrated scanner option, the unit is as easy to use as it is rugged.
