Euless, TX -- AML, a leading developer and manufacturer of wired and wireless automated data capture products, today announced the launch of the MT7570 vehicle mount terminal. Featuring a rugged IP65 sealed metal construction and flexible computing capabilities, the MT7570 mounts easily to industrial vehicles such as forklift trucks and delivers robust mobile performance for real-time receiving, put-away, picking and shipping applications in harsh environments.

Designed to integrate easily and securely into existing wireless networks, the AML MT7570 vehicle mount terminal features integrated 802.11b/g WLAN radio technology with the latest wireless security protocols. Full USB and RS232 serial connections, as well as optional Bluetooth® WPAN communications, provide connectivity to peripheral devices such as bar code scanners and printers. The internal DC power converter accommodates 9 to 36VDC or 36 to 75VDC (depending on configuration) for operation on most forklift trucks. An optional internal UPS battery ensures stable service in case of power failure up to 30 minutes.

With its bright, 12.1 inch SVGA color touch screen display and 160 degree viewing angle, the MT7570 vehicle mount terminal is easy to read, even in dimly lit warehouse environments. Gloved operators can efficiently input data via the MT7570's virtual on-screen keypad or optional rugged USB full QWERTY keyboard. The unit's IP65 sealed, metal enclosure withstands harsh industrial conditions and provides total protection from dust and water sprayed from any direction.

Factory, loading dock, and warehouse data capture applications can all benefit from the flexible computing functionality of the AML MT7570 vehicle mount terminal. Engineered for agile deployment into a wide range of mobile environments, the AML MT7570 vehicle mount terminal is available with either open-source embedded Linux® or Windows® XP Embedded operating system. Both operating systems include terminal emulators (VT100/220, TN5250, TN3270), web browser(s), and VoIP (Skype®) client.
