Secured Digital Applications Inc. (New York) has been awarded a $692,000 contract to install an RFID inventory management system at a Malaysian food cannery.

The project, slated for completion in December, will integrate the RFID system with the client’s EDI system in an effort to streamline warehouse operations and provide access to real-time information regarding the availability of raw materials, finished goods and other inventory.

The company added that the integrated RFID inventory tracking EDI system will help its client reduce labor requirements as well as improve inventory and quality control.
