MAH200 Universal Bar Code Readers

TWINSBURG, OH – Pepperl+Fuchs introduces MAH200 Universal Bar Code Readers. These handheld units are the first universal bar code reader that automatically discriminates between all major 2-D matrix and linear bar code symbologies, and performs more functions than any other single device of its type. They are rugged and versatile enough for the most demanding warehouse and production applications, yet rapid and economical enough for point-of-sale applications. The new readers incorporate a unique dual path optical system, a 1.3 million pixel CMOS sensor, and a 400 MHz processor. Their reading system supports high density matrix codes and larger low density linear codes, a superior working range, high-speed omni-directional decoding, and unsurpassed data rates. These are the only readers available in handheld, gun handle and presentation-stand form with cabled, batch and cordless versions. The cordless version utilizes the latest Bluetooth™ class 1 interface with a 300-foot operating range. Rugged and lightweight, the cordless version will operate for more than a complete shift at the highest use rate. It performs more than 4,000 reads and transmits from a single battery charge. The cabled version is available with USB or RS232 interfaces. Batch versions feature a 1300 milliamp Lithium-ion battery with a 6200-scan lifespan with 8 hours of standby time.
