Carlos Gutierrez, former chairman and CEO of Kellogg Co. and former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, has joined the board of directors at Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS), operator of an all-plastic, RFID-embedded pallet pool.

In November 2004, former President George W. Bush appointed Gutierrez as Secretary of Commerce. He held the post for five years.

Gutierrez joins other members of the iGPS board, including John Fletcher, former CEO of Brambles Ltd., parent company of pallet-pooling company CHEP, and Terry Tamminen, former Secretary of the California EPA.
