SEOUL, South Korea,WEST FARGO, N.D. and CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Doosan Infracore will reach morecustomers with a broader product portfolio now that its $4.9 billionacquisition of Ingersoll Rand Company’s Bobcat, utility equipment andattachments businesses is finalized.

With the addition ofIngersoll Rand’s operations in China, Belgium, France and the Czech Republic,Doosan Infracore will have a combined distribution and manufacturing networkexceeding 3,500 dealers and consisting of 20 manufacturing plants worldwide,according to Forklift Action.

Doosan Infracore vicechairman Yongmaan Park says the company is now “extremely well-positioned” tobecome a “true global leader” in the construction equipment sector.

“These three businesseseach have superior operations with high-quality products that will enhanceDoosan’s overall product portfolio by adding compact construction equipment toour existing medium and large-scale construction equipment product lines.”

Bobcat and IngersollRand’s utility equipment and attachments businesses will operate as individualbusinesses of Doosan Infracore’s U.S. subsidiary, Doosan InfracoreInternational.

Bobcat, which makestelehandlers, loaders, excavators, utility products, light constructionequipment and attachments, will still be known as Bobcat. Ingersoll RandUtility Equipment will be known as Doosan Infracore Portable Power. IngersollRand Attachments will be called DII Attachments.
